EA Sports and Uncommon release mega-film celebrating fan-driven ideas

The epic launch captures the energy, feedback and community of the game, featuring iconic sporting talent in this highly anticipated FC26 trailer
EA SPORTS FC and Uncommon invites the world’s football community to step onto the pitch for the next chapter in The World’s Game with the launch of EA SPORTS FC™ 26, available now across PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, and Nintendo Switch™ and Switch 2™, as well as through EA Play.
The release also marks the arrival of the EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile 26 Update and Anniversary Event, inviting fans to experience FC anywhere, anytime.
A game shaped by its community
FC 26 represents the most community driven football experiences to date, introducing an overhauled gameplay experience powered by community feedback, this year the fans’ voice has been heard. Fans can continue to have their say via the FC Feedback hub where players can share ideas, report issues, and help shape the future of FC through Discord and FC’s Player Feedback Portal.

A celebration of the fans
At the heart of the FC 26 launch sits ‘The Club Is Yours’, a bold new creative platform and strategic direction built into a long-form launch trailer from Uncommon — a celebration of everything the fans have ever wanted (almost).
Built around a simple truth — that fans don’t just play the game, they shape it — the film dramatizes the passion, creativity, and absurdity of football fandom.
Featuring some of the world’s most iconic names across football, sport, and culture — including Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Alyssa Thompson, Cole Palmer, Virgil van Dijk, Oliver Kahn, Lewis Hamilton, and more — ‘The Club Is Yours’ captures the voice of the global FC community in full force.
The longform launch film is the culmination of EA SPORTS FC 26’s broader campaign, bringing fan feedback- from the ingenious to the outright outrageous — to life. The wider campaign features over 50 short-form films across TV and social, showcasing stars including Alex Morgan, Jamal Musiala, Endrick, Manuel Nauer, Skepta, and Angry Ginge.
Earlier in the launch, EA and Uncommon unveiled the FC 26 cover stars, highlighting generational talents Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala for FC 26 and EA SPORTS FC Mobile, capturing the energy and atmosphere of a match. Zlatan Ibrahimović returns as the Ultimate Edition cover star, recreating a famous childhood photo of him gazing at his idol, Ronaldo — this time surrounded by badges, kits, and memorabilia marking his rise from fan to football icon, including PSG, Sweden, and Malmö.
The return of Zlatan was driven by overwhelming fan requests, inspiring an in-game special where players can field an entire team made up of his character alone, celebrating both his career and the voice of the FC community.

While FC 26 incorporates many real fan suggestions, this film imagines what would happen if every single idea came to life… total anarchy. From innovations born of player feedback to playful interpretations of ideas that didn’t make the cut, the campaign blurs the line between developer and supporter.
The 2.30-minute epic features fan suggestions coming to life in spectacular ways: players attacked by polar bears, a 45ft wide goal for Virgil Van Dijk, Jude Bellingham struck by lightning, a monstrous Oliver Kahn smashing through a wall, Zlatan scoring from outside the stadium, and a referee chased away for suggesting VAR. As more ideas pour in, chaos erupts — a visual reflection of FC’s commitment to listen, but also the limits of possibility.
The film was directed by Cannes Grand Prix-winning director Gary Freedman through MJZ, who also helmed the iconic Paddington Meets the Queen film for the Platinum Jubilee. Post-production was handled by Oscar- and BAFTA-winning post house Framestore, with editing by Work Editors and sound by Sam Ashwell at 750.
