A campaign by We Are Social
Hot on the heels of the news of Lidl’s branded Christmas jumper launch, the retailer announces that shoppers can also access the jumper free of charge virtually through Animal Crossing, a Nintendo Switch game.
The campaign was conceived and produced by Lidl's retained social media agency, We Are Social, and launches to coincide with the recently launched Animal Crossing Winter update.
Lidl shoppers will be able to use the code MO-PTLS-4L5V-N1XR from today to download the jumper in-game for their character to wear.
As seen in the advert, the stylish virtual knitwear features the same traditional design with the iconic Lidl colours of blue, yellow and red, making it easy for shopper’s characters to get the coveted Lidl look in-game this winter.

We really didn’t want anyone to miss out, especially after the year we’ve all had. So, we placed the jumper in one of the fastest-growing games of the year - Animal Crossing where they can get the digital version for free. Lidl’s branded Christmas Jumper officially launched in-store last week, and anyone that didn’t manage to get their hands on one can enjoy the jumper in Animal Crossing this winter.
