Olga Basha releases 'No Jeans' to complete cinematic trilogy
New York-based denim brand Olga Basha returns with 'No Jeans', directed by Matias & Mathias of Epoch Films.
In the long-form film, Matias & Mathias explore more characters and a wider range of settings to capture the final instalment in Olga Basha’s wryly absurd saga.
Annie Hamilton stars as the film’s lead, memorably kicking off 'No Jeans' completely trouser-less as she leaves her apartment.
She goes back inside to grab a bag she forgot, but stays bare-legged for the remainder of the film as she boards the subway and runs across the street to meet a friend for lunch. When the restaurant won't let her in because she's not wearing trousers, she spots an acquaintance across the street and tries to borrow her Olga Basha jeans, but to no avail.
Matias & Mathias brought their dry comedic sensibilities and naturalistic direction to 'No Jeans' emulating the feeling of being ripped from everyday life in their previous Olga Basha films, 'Jeans' and 'New Jeans.'
Existing in a world between a Jackass sketch and a self-serious art film, “No Jeans” is as cool in its delivery as Olga Basha jeans are impossible to let go of, even if someone tries to persuade you to take them off on a city sidewalk.
