Paloma keeps the faith as Londoners leave Mad, Sad & Bad confessions

Singer and host Paloma Faith surprises fans as Londoners were encouraged to leave their Mad, Sad & Bad confessions in a booth styled on her hit podcast.

If confession is good for the soul, London was in clean health as hundreds stopped by Covent Garden to confess their secrets and sins to Paloma Faith.

The award-winning singer, songwriter, actor, best-selling author, TV personality and podcast host made a surprise appearance in central London in a Mad, Sad & Bad themed confessions booth to promote Season 2 of her hit podcast of the same name, coinciding with the release of an enlightening chat with presenter Vogue Williams.

Fans dropping in to share their maddest, saddest and baddest secrets and sins got more than they bargained for when Paloma opened the grate to reveal herself.

“I’ve always been obsessed with people’s stories and sharing my own life story with whoever I meet, so this has been the dream day for me,” said Paloma.

“People are extraordinary, and I’m so curious about everyone, which is what Mad, Sad & Bad is based on. I’ve been lucky enough to share the pod booth with the likes of Samuel L Jackson, Rupert Everett and Mel B since I began Mad, Sad & Bad, but being here today and meeting so many awesome people willing to spill their secrets has been just as thrilling for me.”

Giving the first 250 confessors Mad, Sad & Bad goody bags, Paloma spent over an hour revelling in the honesty of commuters, shoppers and tourists, and even drew confessions from her podcast boss, Jampot founder Jamie Laing.

“Paloma’s just brilliant as a host and she manages to elicit the jaw-dropping honesty out of guests like nobody else, and I was no exception today, airing my own dirty laundry in the confessions booth!” said Laing.

“It’s been such a buzz seeing her surprise her fans today, and I’m so proud that we have launched Season 2 of Mad, Sad & Bad. Check it out now, you will be utterly hooked!”

Mad, Sad & Bad with Paloma Faith is available now on all podcast platforms, with new episodes every Tuesday. Episode 2 featuring presenter Vogue Williams is out now.
