Vaseline named Official Nipple Protector of the 2026 TCS London Marathon

The campaign will tackle one of the most dreaded and least talked about side effects of endurance events: nipple chafing.

With marathon participation continuing to rise, thousands of participants each year experience painful skin irritation caused by hours of repetitive movement, a problem widely recognised within the running community, but rarely discussed openly. Chafed skin in sensitive areas is a problem all TCS London Marathon participants will have to consider ahead of this year’s event day on Sunday 26 April.

To help, Vaseline will be sponsoring nipples, so participants can focus on performance, not pain.

As the Official Nipple Protector of the TCS London Marathon, Vaseline will help participants prepare by offering its iconic Vaseline Jelly products at the TCS London Marathon Running Show, taking place between Wednesday 22 April and Saturday 25 April. On race day itself, Vaseline will also be available on the course, helping participants stay comfortable and protected throughout the 26.2-mile challenge.

Nathalia Amadeu, global brand director Vaseline, said: “For decades, the running community has relied on Vaseline Jelly to protect skin from chafing - a verified hack. As Official Nipple Protector of the TCS London Marathon, we’re proud to support runners - so they can focus on the finish line, while we handle the friction.” Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, said: “Anyone who has taken part in an endurance event like the TCS London Marathon will be aware of the threat of chafing to sensitive areas of skin. And while injuries such as a runner's nipple might sound funny, they can also be very painful which is why we are delighted to welcome Vaseline as the Official Nipple Protector of the TCS London Marathon.” The 2026 TCS London Marathon takes place on Sunday 26 April.
