A Creative Moment with...Herman Dias, senior creative
In the latest of our new podcast series, Creative Moment's Tom Hall chats with senior creative (and popular Creative Moment Awards judge) Herman Dias.
Herman's career began with an internship at Havas Lynx Group and continued with roles at MullenLowe, McCann, VCCP and Freuds, among others. A freelance conceptual creative, he is passionate about great ideas, creative problem solving and working with the latest technology.
A fan of the Creative Moment Awards, Herman recollects the evening and how it helped him as a young creative mingling with others in the industry, as well as a story about his pudding...

Herman recounts a couple of his favourite campaigns: Liming With Gran (Ketchum, Wojech Glomski), a custom-made domino set which highlighted sickle cell disease, and others. The bespoke game opened up the conversation, and Herman loved the impact it had on this community, which he experienced first-hand.
The other campaign that caught his attention was Asics' Desk Break, enabling workers to take time off to go for a run in work hours. He loved the insight and how it worked towards helping mental health for employees—just two of the campaigns that he enjoyed among so much great work presented on the night.
Herman and Tom also chat about the PR Creatives Club and how much he enjoys these industry events and how beneficial they are for those who work in creative.
Herman also has some views on the podcast scene and what he wants to see out there, about taking more risk when it comes to content creation and some examples of those influencers who are getting his attention. "I feel that there's room for our industry voices to shape popular culture, not just comment on it."
In this diverse chat with Tom covering a multitude of topics, Herman shares his thoughts on the digital granny campaign by 02, which generated a lot of interest at the awards as a brilliant use of AI, offers his advice to young creatives worried about AI taking their jobs and his favourite TV ads of all time.
Listen & enjoy.
