Greggs and KFC drop a gravy-based collab

Two titans of high street fast food, KFC and Greggs, have teamed up Uber Eats for a limited edition collaboration, which kicks off this week. Will you be indulging?
In a move dubbed the “culinary crossover of the century”, Greggs and KFC have teamed up to launch a limited-edition menu item that combines two British fast-food favourites: Greggs’ iconic sausage rolls and KFC’s famous gravy.
The “Gravy Meets Pastry Sharing Bucket” will be available exclusively through Uber Eats in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Newcastle for two days only, starting August 15, 2025.
This bold partnership, developed by London-based creative agency Mother, marks the first time Greggs and KFC have collaborated, following their successful individual ventures like Greggs’ Primark clothing range and KFC’s merchandise drops. As the brands aim to capture consumer attention in a crowded delivery market, this “significant cultural moment” is set to leave a lasting impression on fast-food fans across the UK.
Priced at £10, the sharing bucket includes six Greggs sausage rolls paired with a large tub of KFC’s signature gravy, packaged in a co-branded box. The collaboration taps into the nation’s love for these culinary staples, with Britons reportedly consuming over one million Greggs sausage rolls and 15,000 litres of KFC gravy daily over the past year.
The hype begins
The idea for this pairing was inspired by fans, according to KFC brand manager Phoebe Syms: “At KFC, we bleed gravy. We go to obsessive lengths for our liquid gold, and so do our fans,” Syms said. “It was them who inspired this once-in-a-lifetime event, calling for us to partner with Greggs and unite our iconic gravy with their iconic sausage rolls. It’s time for gravy to meet pastry. You’re welcome.”
Fiona Mills, brand communications lead at Greggs, echoed the excitement: “With 96 layers of light puff pastry, perfectly baked to give that satisfying golden crisp and flaky goodness, we’ve always known our sausage rolls are a true British icon. Why not pair one icon with another? We can’t wait to see what fans make of this partnership.”
To build anticipation, Greggs and KFC launched a three-day promotional tour, offering free samples of the sausage roll and gravy combo in London’s Southbank Centre on August 7, Manchester’s St Anne’s Square on August 8, and Newcastle’s Times Square on August 9. The events, which ran from 12pm to 5pm, also featured limited-edition Greggs x KFC bucket hats, delighting fans who attended.
The Gravy Meets Pastry Sharing Bucket is expected to sell out quickly on 15-16 August due to its limited availability and the hype. Act fast foodies.
